The PNB envisions "decisive weeks" to "talk about the territorial model"

The PNB celebrated yesterday in the fields of Foronda the big annual party of its party, the Alderdi Eguna (Day of the Party), with a harangue to the militants in the face of a decisive political course. "They are coming against us", pointed out both the lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, and the president of the party, Andoni Ortuzar. With the latest electoral setbacks still fresh in their minds, the Jeltzale leaders tried to encourage their own in a political moment that they described as "complex", but also "exciting", since "intense weeks" are approaching for "talk about the territorial model".

The results of the last two electoral dates had raised expectations both for the mobilizing capacity of the PNB at its party party and for the message that the Jeltzale leaders would carry. Basque nationalist militancy responded with a remarkable turnout, and the leaders of the PNB defended the speech they had been aiming for in recent weeks, but underlining the vocation of uniting and haranguing their own. Given the complexity of the political and electoral moment that the party is going through, Ortuzar and Urkullu wanted to highlight stimulating elements in order to combat the pessimism that has prevailed in recent months. In addition, they showed that PNB's formula for re-illusioning supporters is to emphasize its own profile.

Ortuzar insisted on the message he defended a few weeks ago in Zarautz: "Neither left nor right. Euskadi and democracy", and Urkullu spoke "of the values of humanism". On a national scale, the lehendakari defended the role of his party in the defense of self-government and Basque identity, while Ortuzar tried to motivate militancy by looking towards the investiture negotiation: "After 20 years without talk about the territorial model, we have an exciting opportunity in front of us".
