The plenary session of the Parliament of Catalonia has validated this Wednesday, just before the government control session, the regional appointment of Núria Marín (PSC) and Teresa Pallarès (Together for Catalonia) as senators, replacing the new mayoress of Balaguer, Lorena González, and from the caldesa of Vandellòs and Hospitalet de l'Infant, Assumption Castellví, respectively.
Martín, mayoress of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, presided over the Diputación de Barcelona in the previous term, while Pallarès is part of the management of Junts, as treasury secretary, and is a councilor in the Reus City Council.
The post-convergent leader, in addition, was a deputy of the Parliament in the previous legislature and until the departure of JxCat from the Government last October had been a territorial delegate of the Government of the Generalitat in the regions of Tarragona.
Núria Marín's candidacy received 96 votes in favor and 18 abstentions, while Pallarès's received 97 endorsements and 19 abstentions.
