The members of Sumar demand organicity and internal democracy

The interior of Sumar moves. In recent days, IU and Podemos have established their doctrine on the need to belong to the organization led by Yolanda Díaz in documents that respond to the nature of the two organizations, conciliating that of the coordinator of IU, Alberto Garzón, angry the of the formation of Ione Belarra.

While Sumar - as Vice President Yolanda Díaz explained in the interview published by this newspaper on September 17 - has decided to postpone the citizens' assembly that will give shape to the Sumar Movement, an organization to which Díaz wants to give a civic edge, impatience it is spreading to the bases and cadres of the integrated organizations.

Garzón's document, offered as a proposal, insists on the doctrine that the IU coordinator himself has been publishing regarding the future of Sumar. Garzón already proposed a party table a year ago to speed up the operation, but the idea fell through due to the rejection of Podemos. The lilacs, for their part, are now pressing to ask that the party executives have more weight and accuse Díaz of practicing "the appointment by hand", while demanding that Irene Montero be minister - not the general secretary, Ione Belarra - under pain of ordering its five deputies to withdraw their support for Pedro Sánchez.

At the same time, the proximity of the PCE Festival, which is celebrated in Rivas on the 29th, has reopened tensions between the leadership, led by Enrique Santiago, and part of its youth regarding the party's position in Sumar. The general secretary of the PCE has also launched his recipe for Sumar and has claimed this space for political parties.

In Sumar they are calm in view of so much anxiety and ask for patience. Time management is power and everyone knows it.
