The family of Ghanaian origin whose 11-year-old daughter was raped by six young men in the Màgic shopping center in Badalona, in November 2021, will move to Baix Llobregat to escape the victimization of the girl and the possible threats from the aggressors, who are now free again.
Badalona City Council has facilitated the transfer of the family of the girl who was sexually assaulted by a group of young people, three of whom were minors not criminally liable, to a large city in Baix Llobregat, close to the father's work. The measure has been advised by the psychologists of the specialist unit for minors at the Germans Trias hospital who care for the girl, to avoid her "re-victimization", reported yesterday the councilor for Social Rights of the City Council, David Torrents.
The family lives in a flat in Sareb in Badalona and is in the process of being evicted. It is not a vulnerable family nucleus, as it has income, which is why it was not initially attended to at the Emergency Desk. In view of the report presented by the Badalón government, Sareb herself has provided them with housing in a large metropolis in the Baix Llobregat.
At the same time, the Department of Education has started the process to send the family's two younger siblings to school, the 11-year-old girl and her 14-year-old brother, who was also threatened with death through the networks social services by an individual who was later arrested, while the older sister pursues a career at university.
The municipal government has reported that most of the six families of the aggressors do not meet the requirements of the Social Services, which on the other hand are regular users because they are unstructured families, which prevents them from starting any action with the aggressors, who are currently in probation
The group of six criminals, three of whom are under the age of 14, according to police sources, remain together and accumulate police records, and at no time have they shown any remorse, nor have their families, who refuse to have their children taken care of by the Administration. "They are minors who are difficult to bring back", acknowledged yesterday the councilor for Social Rights of Badalona.
