"We love each other very much. We are and will be great friends for life. Now that we are both single, each one lives his own way", explained Sebastián Yatra to the microphones of a program in Mexico, so that he has confirmed the break with Aitana. The singer is in Mexico, where a few days earlier Aitana had performed at the National Auditorium, with a full house to present the album Alpha, and in these same statements he was happy about the triumph of who has been his partner until recently: "I love, I love that the Auditorium has experienced this so special. He deserves it. I adore him".
For several weeks it was said that the couple had ended the relationship, especially when the Catalan, who was in Seville, did not go to the Latin Grammys, the most important Latin music awards in the world, where the Colombian artist acted as presenter. Before that he did not accompany Aitana to the Los 40 Music Awards gala, where she was the most awarded.
The real alarms went off on Sunday, however, when Aitana performed at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá, Colombia, Yatra's home country, and burst into tears on stage: "Today I'm not well emotionally. What I keep in my heart is being here with you, in Bogota. Because in the end life is changes, and that is the most beautiful thing in life", words he uttered shortly before Yatra from Mexico confirmed the breakup.
Aitana (24) and Sebastián Yatra (29) have been together for eight months, and have undoubtedly been the couple of the year, like the title of the Colombian's song. It was in March when the first photos of the two together walking around Madrid were published, although it had been said for a few weeks that they were together, after having coincided in some editions as coaches of La voz kids. Neither of them confirmed the relationship and were playing tricks by posting pictures on social networks in the same places, but separately. In the summer you could finally see the photo of a passionate kiss of the couple on an idyllic holiday in Ibiza. In July the couple went to Colombia to celebrate the country's independence day and, in addition, Aitana was able to meet the Yatra family.
A year ago the singer from Sant Climent de Llobregat broke up with the actor Miguel Bernardeau, after four years of relationship. They started dating in November 2018 and in 2021 they went to live together in Madrid, a city where she settled shortly after finishing second in Operación Triunfo, that same year. The breakup took place right after the premiere of La última, a Disney series in which they starred, and at the subsequent events attended by the singer, she did not want to make statements, she only asked the paparazzi to stop harassing- because now she was all alone at home and she was afraid because there were people at the door.
