Quevedo and its big end-of-year party

Barcelona is a festival city by definition. June is a good example. If last week more than 253,000 people enjoyed Primavera Sound, on Friday thousands more did the same at the Share Festival, the urban music event that meets with the youngest on June 9 and 10, and is doing it for the first time time in the Fòrum park, due to the growth it has had throughout the five editions. "We have sold, for now, 17,000 tickets every day, but they can still be bought at the box office, so the number is expected to rise. Poble Espanyol was becoming small for us", Stefano Maccarone, director of the festival, explained to La Vanguardia.

There were many students who yesterday finished the university entrance exams (PAU, also known as EVAU) who came to celebrate the end of their exams. "This is better than a disco, there are many of the artists we like and the price is very good", assured Judith. Her friend, Laura, agreed as she turned off the phone. "We will take selfies and videos with another mobile phone. I don't want anyone to ask me about the biology exam. I deserve to enjoy it and start the holidays with magnificence".

Aware of the age of a large part of the audience, the festival chose to put the tickets at a very competitive price, which encouraged many students to come after finishing the tests. "Good luck to those who do the sele today. We are waiting for you here", the organizers wrote on social networks. And so they did. Entire classes bought the two-day pass to celebrate their end-of-year party. "We all agreed to say goodbye before going to university. Not everyone can do this with Quevedo singing in the background", assured one of the young people who led a group of fourteen people, all from high school.

El canari, headliner together with Morad and Bizarrap, who sing today, was the most anticipated artist last night. The rapper seems to be getting fond of coming to the Catalan capital, since in mid-May he already gathered more than 4,000 people at the Sant Jordi Club. Very welcome visits considering the applause from his fans when they saw him appear more than half an hour late. "Good night, Barcelona. Welcome to Donde quiero estar”, he greeted the attendees with reference to his album shortly before starting to sing the danceable repertoire composed in just two years. The singer left his shyness behind and delighted the audience with songs such as Ahora qué, Playa del inglés and Sin señal, for which he asked to turn off all the flashes on the phones. "We will stay in the dark, people."

The first surprise of the night came with the appearance of Omar Montes, who joined the vocalist to sing Dame, the theme they have in common. Shortly after, Maikel Delacalle did the same, who had already taken the same stage hours before, to perform Mi nena. Nor was Saiko missing, with whom he premiered the Polaris remix a few days ago. Although if someone was expected it was Bizarrap, to co-star in the Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol.52 or, in other words, Quédate, the song that catapulted them to world fame. When the edition closed, it was not yet known whether or not they would coincide on stage.

The Canarian artist ended a day of almost nine hours of live music that started with Mushkaa, a young woman who has more than earned herself to be something more than just Bad Gyal's sister. The Catalan vocalist began the performance at 2:30 p.m. "Thank you very much for coming to see me in full solana", he thanked Catalan music after performing Sonic, one of his best-known songs. Next to him, a volunteer from the enCantados organization repeated the lyrics in sign language to make the concert more accessible and so that everyone could enjoy it. An action that will be repeated today on the show of the Catalan rapper of Moroccan origin Miss Raisa.

Shortly after the reggaetonera, it was Lil Cake's turn, which was missed, as he withdrew at the last minute "for logistical reasons", which caused some schedules to be slightly altered. Who did give it all was Dellafuente. Considered by many to be the father of Spanish trap, the Granada native returned to the stage after a three-year absence and honored those present with tracks such as K alegría or Romea y Julieto, who went down to sing on the floor with the fans.

The party was completed by Saiko, Fusa Nocta, J Abecia, Dj Nàtura, Dj Jose de las Heras and HOKE
