PSPV and Compromís study taking the legislative package of PP and Vox to the courts

The "reformist agenda" that PP and Vox presented on Thursday afternoon with up to five laws with an important symbolic and political charge, has not pleased at all the opposition parties that already yesterday spoke of "counter-reform" and "black day." This Friday, the spokespersons for PSPV and Compromís have developed their arguments and have advanced the possibility of taking future regulations to court.

The socialist José Muñoz has stated that “Carlos Mazón has built a highway towards corruption by eliminating political controls and public transparency, as his political godfather Eduardo Zaplana already did.” Thus, he has accused the president of the Generalitat of “being responsible and the ideologue” of the counter-reform presented yesterday by the Popular Party and its far-right partners.

In this sense, the socialist spokesperson has pointed out that "Mazón is such a coward that instead of presenting it, in the first person, he sends his henchmen to do the dirty work while he goes to Murcia to meet with a party colleague" and He has insisted that "yesterday was a black day for the Valencian Community, they want to destroy and eliminate with one stroke everything that has been advanced in our land in democracy, rights and freedoms and in the fight against corruption."

Likewise, Muñoz has explained that "the highway towards corruption that Mazón has built follows the same steps as his political godfather Eduardo Zaplana, tried for the alleged collection of illegal commissions and for which he is asked for 19 years in prison" and has pointed out that the socialists "will be vigilant and if the legislation is misused we will take them to court."

Along the same lines, the Ombudsman of Compromís, Joan Baldoví, has accused the PP and Vox of "declaring war on the Valencian" with laws that he has described as an "assault on democracy and all non-statutory bodies."

"The demolition of an entire mechanism, of an entire system of defense of values and controls in the fight against corruption, begins. And today, and I say this with all the rage and all the regret in the world, today the demolition has begun. war against the Valencian," remarked the leader of Compromís.

According to Baldoví, "all guarantees for a language are eliminated and for Valencian speakers they lead us to the possibility that our children, our grandchildren can have the option, when they finish their schooling, that they can master both languages."

Meanwhile, he has indicated that Compromís is studying what measures they can adopt from the parliamentary level and are even considering going to court, although they will study it. "If we have to go to court because the rights of Valencian speakers are violated, we will go wherever," he remarked.
