New PP protest in Madrid, now for the "humiliation" of the verifier

Third meeting of the PP in the streets of Madrid to protest the amnesty and the pacts of Pedro Sánchez with Carles Puigdemont – four if you take into account the demonstration called by social organizations to which the popular ones were added. And those that are missing, announced the popular leader.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo does not relax in his opposition to the president of the Spanish Government, and he is not afraid of the fatigue that the citizens may feel. About 15,000 people according to the PP and 8,000 according to the Delegation of the Spanish Government filled the park that surrounds the temple of Debod. A less crowded protest than the previous ones, but with quite a few people, just 700 meters from the PSOE headquarters in Ferraz.

To this space, which the popular people used for campaign meetings a long time ago, the president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, who had previously called the demonstrators to go to the socialist headquarters after the act of the PP. A slogan that Feijóo wanted to counter with a repeated phrase, to make his position clear: "Let's finish here". After 1:30 p.m., part of the rally went to Ferraz. There were no incidents and the protest was disbanded after a short time.

There will be more demonstrations, rallies and events. "Spain does not surrender" and "not in my name; not in the name of Spain, no" were Feijóo's war cries at the event, and more so after the first meeting of the PSOE and Junts in Geneva, with the inclusion of the figure of the international verifier Francisco Galindo in the conversations For the president of the PP, it is an "unbearable humiliation". "We will not accept it", he exclaimed.

Feijóo already announced on Saturday that he was activating all the mechanisms available to his groups in Congress, the Senate and the European Parliament to demand explanations from Sánchez for the meeting in Switzerland. At the same time, it will also keep the opposition on the street and extend it to the courts, to which they will appeal for all the decisions that are taken as a result of that pact. "We won't pass a single one", he announced.

Feijóo, accompanied by his new management and part of his barons, showed the strongest language against Sánchez, with warnings included. "We will not accept the opacity with which Sánchez meets in secret to negotiate democracy and the dignity of the Spanish". "Not in our name", he added.

"I will not question the legitimacy of the Government", he conceded as an exception, but he was relentless with his decision to combat "unreason, amorality and shamelessness". "They are the shame of a country whose dignity will not be taken away", he said.

Feijóo considers that the Spanish Government has become a "national and international shame", which reaches its highest level with the figure of the verifier. "It is a shame that there is a foreign mediation to talk between compatriots", he said, and even more so if it is "a Salvadoran supposedly expert in negotiations with terrorists and Latin American guerrillas".

It does not occur to the president of the PP that this mediator is "the one who has to decide the future of Spain" and says "how Spain treats an autonomous community". For this reason, he asked Sánchez to "stop this nonsense" with which it is only intended to maintain Moncloa. In this sense, he encouraged his followers to continue at the foot of the canyon: "The Spanish will put things back in their place".

The leader of the PP is trying to ensure that the enthusiasm in the protests against Sánchez does not decline, although he is aware of the difficulty of keeping the tension as high as it has been so far. Therefore, he harangued his as if it were a campaign. "They want us with our hands in the air while we witness the robbery of the equality of the Spanish", he said. "They want us to be quiet while they are talking in Geneva", he added. "They want us with their hands up and submissive, like they do with the pro-independence people," he concluded. And that is why the PP will continue on the streets: "We will not give in to their deceptions, we will not whitewash their alliances, we will not normalize scandals. The more lies they tell, the more truths they will have to hear."
