Jordi Juan, director of 'La Vanguardia', talks with subscribers

New edition of La Vanguardia's series of talks with the newspaper's subscribers that will take place this Wednesday, November 22 at 7 p.m. at Casa Seat (Passeig de Gràcia con Diagonal, Barcelona). This time the protagonist will be the director of Jordi Juan, who aims to address how the newsroom faces the challenge of journalism in the digital age. The talk will be moderated by Enric Sierra, deputy director of La Vanguardia.

Jordi Juan has been director of La Vanguardia since February 2020. Born in L'Hospitalet (1963), he began working at Diari de Barcelona (1982), and then worked for the main newspapers in the city: Avui, El Periódico, El País and The Observer. In 1992 he joined La Vanguardia where he performed the functions of editor, section chief, editor-in-chief, deputy director and deputy director. In 2009 he joined corporate communications as director of IR at Spanair. In 2011 he was appointed director of the agency InterMèdia and two years later he founded his own company, Vitamine. In 2015 he returned to La Vanguardia as content director of Lavanguardia.com.
