Ana Rosa's program will end its broadcast forever on Tuesday, July 25, after almost two decades as a reference for mornings on television. After 19 seasons and 18 years of uninterrupted leadership, Ana Rosa Quintana closes one cycle and opens another to lead Telecinco afternoons from September.
"I close a door to go out to a new window on television, that of the afternoons. There are still many uncertainties on the table - schedules, content, collaborators -, but I have one certainty: I know that I have the best team of professionals when it comes to making television", he assured yesterday at the press conference in which he took stock of the two decades at the front of the program.
At the moment, very few details are known about the new space, but, as La Vanguardia has learned exclusively, the journalist Manu Marlasca, who specializes in investigative cases, is leaving La Sexta after eleven years and has signed on to be one of the main collaborators in Quintana's new space.
Ana Rosa's program leaves leading its segment with an average of 17% share and 462,000 viewers, also surpassing all its competitors in the segment during all the months of the season.
Produced in collaboration with Unicorn Content and directed by Óscar de la Fuente, El programa de Ana Rosa will end its broadcast forever and cede the temporary token on Wednesday July 26 to El programa del verano which will have Joaquín Prat, Patricia Pardo and Beatriz Archidona as presenters.
"Nineteen seasons is a lifetime in the mornings of Telecinco. I have seen life, my life, pass by sitting on the set between January 10, 2005 and July 25, 2023. Now I will leave this place that has been my home. I don't want to look back, but I have the feeling that I'm leaving my family, like when you leave home at 18", assured the journalist yesterday when saying goodbye.
This major change to the chain is in addition to the cancellation of its other flagship, the Sálvame program, on June 23. Both decisions are part of the new strategies promoted under the direction of Borja Prado, who has been president of Mediaset España since April 20, 2022.
