Arrested the 'bad Spiderman' who was stealing by climbing facades

The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested on Wednesday morning, at 4:09 a.m., an individual who entered and robbed several homes on Carrer Onze de Setembre in Sant Adrià de Besòs, which he had accessed by climbing over the balconies. The thief refused to be identified and reacted violently to the arrest, biting an officer's hand.

Neighbors reported that an individual had entered several homes by descending the facade from a sixth floor. When he was surprised by the police spotlight, he climbed through windows and balconies where there were already neighbors who had been awakened by the screams of the witnesses. Some of the residents tried to grab his legs, but they gave up after being warned by the screams of the police.

Finally, the evil Spiderman managed to reach an empty floor on the fifth floor, forced the window and gained access inside. After this fact, the Mossos d'Esquadra were able to catch him. During the subsequent search, a cell phone and other possibly stolen items, such as a credit card, were found on him.

The individual reacted violently to the arrest and refused to be identified, to the point of standing in his underwear in front of the officers, on whom he spat and tried to assault him. In addition, when they were about to reduce him, he bit the hand of a policeman, so the charge of robbery with force in a home has been added to the charge of assault against the authority. Faced with the impossibility of being identified, he was transferred to the Sant Adrià de Besòs police station.

This city is one of those in the Barcelona metropolitan area where crime increased during the first quarter of 2023. Another typology of theft, with violence in homes, went from 4 to 17.

In the overall calculation of criminal offenses in Sant Adrià, it stands out for a 7.6% increase in thefts, with 241 incidents reported. The thefts from vehicles went from 12 to 22, which also represented a growth of 83.3%.

The city includes the Mina neighborhood in the municipal area, where the Mossos d'Esquadra police station is located, with a staff of a hundred agents. The municipal government of Sant Adrià insists that it is insufficient, especially because of the high crime rate in the neighborhood, associated with drug trafficking.
