Andrea Molina, in search of happiness

Andrea Molina (32) is pure sensitivity. A thin woman with a wide smile who has fought to find her own way, leaving aside the pressure of belonging to the Molina clan and being the daughter of Lydia Bosch. "I started as an actress - Andrea begins opening up in conversation with this newspaper - because it was what was expected of me or what I had imposed on myself and, although I enjoyed it, I felt a lot of anxiety . Then I stopped, because I couldn't find my place and it was like taking three steps back and I started in a school with children, because I studied the double degree of Teacher. I was there for two years, and for the past seven months I have been working at the Starlite festival in Marbella and learning a lot with the founder, Sandra García-Sanjuán”.

Music is not only present in his life because of the work and the memory of his grandfather, the great Antonio Molina, but also because his partner for years is Juan Fernández, guitarist of the band Marlon. But his refuge is his family, especially his mother, the actress Lydia Bosch: "With her, I have a very beautiful relationship, of friendship and of explaining things to us, but also of respect, because she is my mother, and at Christmas, when I go home, she always tells me that I have to follow her rules there."

With his father, Micky Molina, he also maintains an excellent relationship, although he admits that he doesn't see him that often, because he lives on the outskirts of Madrid: "He has a beautiful house with his partner María in a very small town where no noise is heard”. Andrea reflects on the lessons she has learned from her parents: "My father taught me to forgive, and my mother, that one should not pressure oneself to seek perfection, because it does not exist".

Andrea Molina and Lydia Bosch were in Barcelona last week, on the occasion of 080, for the Hoss Intropía fashion show: “I'm a fan of the brand, its colors and patterns. As a child I remember my mother wearing a white dress with Hoss flowers, which I loved, which is why I was delighted that we were invited. In addition, last year's campaign was starred by my aunt Ángela with Olivia and María".

The collection presented by the brand was inspired by the Indian festival Holi, a song of happiness: “When I was young I associated happiness with success; instead, now it's quiet, or having lunch on Sundays with my mother, my grandmother and my siblings, Juan and Ana, with whom I am 11 years apart and have a superb relationship, but I try don't teach them". Andrea explains that it is much more complicated to stay with the Molinas because there are so many of them: "The last time we met was in 2021, when my grandmother died. It was sad but beautiful at the same time to be able to be together."

Andrea speaks Catalan with her maternal family, although she confesses that she is somewhat embarrassed in public for fear of making a mistake, "but the next interview we will do in Catalan", she says.
