A Boixos Nois detainee: "I want to go out and kill"

The judge of the court of inquiry 20 of Barcelona decreed on Friday night the entry into provisional prison without bail for the four people linked to the most violent faction of the Boixos Nois, the Casuals, arrested this week for their alleged involvement in the stabbing death of a man in the Zona Franca in April. The jailed are three men aged 28, 26 and 25, belonging to the Cachorros, the youth group of the Casuals, and a woman, aged 25, the partner of one of them.

In an interlocutory hearing to which La Vanguardia has had access, the judge points out that "in the hours before" the crime, one of the arrested sent a message to another of those involved in which he commented "that he was deranged and that he wanted to go out to kill". Shortly afterwards, they met the newlyweds on Avinguda de Can Serra de l'Hospitalet and headed together towards Plaça del Nou in Barcelona, where the murder took place. Two men were assaulted there. One died after being stabbed nine times and the other was seriously injured. "Today, six months later, he is still convalescing", emphasizes the judge.

The interlocutory describes that the attack was carried out jointly. "Acting in concert - he explains -, guided by the intention to attempt an attempt on M.A.'s life, they went to Barcelona's Plaça del Nou, the place where the victims were, and once there, staying woman inside the vehicle, the other three investigated attacked the victims with knives".

The investigators located the arrested thanks to the physical description given by some witnesses who witnessed the events and after the mobile phone of one of those involved was found in the dead man's pocket. It was on that device that the incriminating conversation was found. In addition, at the scene of the incident, the Mossos found a piece of plastic, an embellishment for the left windshield that belonged to the bodywork of the vehicle with which the alleged assailants fled. The woman, although she did not materially participate in the murder, went to prison because, according to the judge, she "provided a means of locomotion through which they traveled to the scene of the crime". The Mossos link the Casuals to three homicides that have taken place in Barcelona in the last year.
