Rosalía has surprised her fans this Friday with a new version of her famous song Bizcochito, which has become especially viral on social networks. The Catalan presents, together with the Dominican Haraca Kiko, a dembow, a rhythm developed in the Dominican Republic during the 1990s, with influences from rap, merengue and reggaeton, among other rhythms.

It is the seventh track from the 30-year-old Catalan's third studio album, Motomami, which was released in March 2022. The new track, which maintains the sound and the chorus, talks about the criticism she has received during her career.

"I am very happy to share this 'remix' of Bizcochito that I made with my friends Haraca and the producer LeoRD," said the artist, after stressing that she hopes her followers "have as much fun dancing as I do." The song, which was already reminiscent of dembow and catchy melodies, became a hit reaching number thirteen on the PROMUSICAE chart in Spain.

For its part, Rolling Stone magazine cataloged Bizcochito as a song "so playful that it sounds like an ice cream truck rolling through the neighborhood." The song by the Spanish artist also managed to enter the Billboard Global 200 list.

The title of the song refers to Saoco, a 2004 song by Puerto Ricans Wisin and Daddy Yankee, taking the phrase "And, who are you? Your bizcochito!".
