The zasca of Antonio Banderas to a journalist on the red carpet of the Talía Awards: "I don't have that statuette"

Today, March 27, International Theater Day, the first edition of the Talía Awards is celebrated, a ceremony that seeks to reward the best theater actors in our country and become the theatrical equivalent of the Goya.

The gala has been created and directed by Antonio Banderas and will feature Cayetana Guillén Cuervo in the role of presenter and host of the evening. These awards seek to value the work of dozens of actors over the last year and reward them in 28 different categories. In addition, there are also some special categories, such as the one dedicated to actor Antonio Resines tonight: the extraordinary Talía award "Back to Life". This special award has been granted by the Government of Cantabria and each year will correspond to a different region.

Many artists have paraded on the red carpet of the Teatro Real, where the event will take place. One of the statements that has attracted the most attention has come from Antonio Banderas, an actor who attends the gala with 5 nominations from his musical Company.

A journalist asked Banderas if he was nervous about having so many nominations and if he had already thought about what he was going to do with the Talía statuette, if he was going to put it next to another award or not. The actor has responded emphatically, cutting off the reporter: "I don't have the Talía statuette. I do not have it. We can leave here with absolutely empty hands. We would leave, in any case, with the five nominations, great reviews and a very good response from the public both in Malaga and Madrid''.

The performance of those actors who appear in television series and movies is often celebrated, but it is also very common for the work of all those who dedicate themselves to the theater to fall on deaf ears and not be valued in the same way.

So that this does not happen, the Talía Awards have been created in Spain, awards that seek to reward and recognize the work of hundreds of actors in our country who fill theaters and theaters day in and day out, striving to create magic live and bring culture at the top of society.
