Last Monday, December 19, 40 guests of Club Vanguardia were able to enjoy a concert-tribute by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès to the soundtracks of John Williams, with the best-known pieces of the famous American composer in an unparalleled setting , the Palau de la Música Catalana. The lucky winners enjoyed a movie night with lots of music and an exclusive cocktail dinner in an emblematic space. They started this magical night in the Sala d'Assaig del Palau, with a previous conference by Albert Beorlegui i Tous, film commentator, who reviewed film music as part of the sentimental memory of several generations and contextualized the figure of John Williams in the history of cinema.
Later they went to the concert hall of the Palace where they could enjoy the tribute concert to John Williams. The interpretation of the musical show was performed by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès directed by Rubén Gimeno, and was accompanied by a screen with projections of film frames, where Salvador Vidal, dubbing actor for Harrison Ford or Liam Nesson narrated the well-known scenes following a script by Jordi Cos.
A spectacle for the cinematographic memory. The concert included interpretations of the soundtracks of Superman, E.T., Indiana Jones, Hook, Schindler's List, or Star Wars, among others, which moved and entertained the attendees, who were transported to the magical world of sensations caused by the combination of music and seventh art.
After the concert, the subscribers continued this incredible musical evening with a cocktail dinner in the spectacular foyer of the Palau de la Música, a very unique space inside the Lluís Domènech i Montaner building. Attendees were able to enjoy the beauty and harmony of the room while tasting an exquisite cocktail dinner served at the right price and with Dauets of Parmesan with peaks, Quiche of leeks, Mini navette of Iberian ham, Macaron de foie, Coca d'escalivada, Potato omelet muffin and Assortment of balot croquettes, and, for dessert, Chocolate Truffles. All together, washed down with white wine Mustillant from Gramona and red wine Marmellans.
