They investigate a minor for participating in robberies with a ham knife in municipalities of Valencia

The Civil Guard has arrested a man and is investigating a minor as the alleged perpetrators of several violent robberies committed in the Valencian municipalities of Picassent, Benifaió and Carlet, in which they used a ham knife and a screwdriver to intimidate their victims.

The investigation began at the end of last January, when it was learned that two hooded men had accessed a betting parlor, where they committed a robbery with intimidation, displaying a ham knife and a screwdriver to get the loot.

That same night they moved with a stolen vehicle to commit two other robberies in identical circumstances at a bar and a gas station in Benifaió.

Thanks to the collaboration of different teams from the Civil Guard, it was possible to verify that in addition to these events, one of the perpetrators had perpetrated another robbery at another gas station in Benifaió and had also attacked a person in Carlet to steal the goods he was carrying.

It was also verified that in order to carry out these crimes, the perpetrators previously stole motor vehicles with which to reach the places where they committed them.

The agents were able to locate those vehicles and it was in one of them where the "determining evidence" was found that allowed them to prove the participation of the two men in the events, the Civil Guard reported this Thursday.

Finally, it was possible to ascertain the identity of the two authors and one of them, a 44-year-old Spaniard, was arrested and the other, a 15-year-old Moroccan minor, was investigated.

The proceedings have been delivered to the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 2 of Picassent and number 3 of Paterna.
