The biggest k-pop festival in the world comes to Madrid with Enhypen, Ateez and Ive

KPop Lux, considered the "biggest k-pop festival in the world", has announced its first landing in Madrid on July 22, specifically at the Metropolitan Stadium, with a first preview of the lineup made up of the South Korean bands Enhypen, Ateez and Ive.

It will be, indicates the press release, a show of more than three hours of music for an approximate capacity of 45,000 people, "with a minimum of six bands" by the Spanish promoter L.A. Rock Entertainment and the Asian giant specialized in this musical genre, SBS.

Made up of seven members, the first of the confirmed groups is Enhypen, which is visiting Spain for the first time, as is the female sextet Ive, founded in 2021 but highly successful thanks to the song "Love Dive" among lovers of this music.

The eight members of Ateez, for their part, are already a regular reference on Madrid stages, which they visited at the beginning of this year and in 2020.

K-pop began to emerge at the beginning of the 90s as a fusion of pop, rap, hip-hop, rock and electronic music, with a very striking aesthetic and hyperdynamic choreographies that are performed by massive groups whose members are subjected to processes of very rigorous selection and training.

Championed by the worldwide success of super bands such as BTS or Blackpink, who have just performed at the Californian Coachella festival, their success years ago surpassed the borders of South Korea (in the US they have their own official list) with a global follow-up of more than 200 million people.
