The future LCI Barcelona campus in the 22@ district has been the setting for the LCI Fashion Show 2023, the presentation platform for a new generation of talented designers. At this event, the students of the fashion degree presented their final-year collections.
The parade, the first to be held at the future LCI Barcelona campus which is still under construction, was attended by a large audience who did not want to miss this event. Relatives, friends, representatives of companies, agencies and the media gathered to witness the proposals of the young designers.
Under the HÂLÔ concept, which captures the vital energy and passion of fashion students, a total of 43 collections were presented, of which 32 were for women, 10 for men and one was genderless. Each collection represented an exciting journey into the inner universe and the identity of each designer.
Estel Vilaseca, head of the Fashion area at LCI, has highlighted the importance of seeing the collections with an open mind and being carried away by the sensations they evoke. "Beyond how pretty or extravagant they may seem, the key is to see the collections with an open mind, let ourselves be intoxicated by them and discover what feelings they arouse in us," she says.
After the parade, the awards ceremony was held for the 10 best collections, selected by a jury made up of renowned professionals from the fashion industry. The award-winning students were Julia Crusells, Annabel Pulido, Marta Cebrián, Pilar Crespo, Laia Alargé, Mapi Pascual, Anna Salvador, Maria Solé, Marta Salazar and Maria Unzueta. In addition, the Blend Showroom and Towanda Models prizes were awarded, which will support the winners in their first steps as fashion professionals.
The event was broadcast live on the LCI Barcelona YouTube channel and was highly successful online. It is now available for fashion lovers to relive the highlights of the show.
The LCI Fashion Show 2023 was the result of intense collective work by the LCI community, which includes faculty, students, and staff members, as well as external businesses and professionals.
