Why do cloth stains appear during pregnancy and how do they disappear?

During pregnancy, the body goes through a series of changes in which hormones are working at full capacity. One of the most notable has to do with the skin, especially if certain precautions are not taken. Since, in some cases, the 'dreaded' pregnancy spots appear on the skin, better known as cloth stains. Recognizing them is relatively simple, since they have very particular characteristics.

Cloth stains are like large patches of brown, although they can even take on darker shades. They appear on both sides of the face, with a symmetrical appearance, although with edges that are not regular. Generally in the cheek area, but they can also occur on the chin and upper lip area and even on the forehead. The reasons? A bad combination between hormones and the sun.

One of the consequences of the work of hormones during pregnancy is that the skin is more sensitive and is especially susceptible to the sun's rays. And, if that were not enough, melanin production increases. For all these reasons, if sunscreen is not used and the skin is left exposed for long periods to the action of the sun's rays, the result will be the appearance of cloth stains.

The ideal would be to take a series of recommendations to prevent these from appearing. But if they have already done so, all is not lost, since it is possible to get rid of them and also ensure that no more form.
