The terrible fire that occurred last week in the Valencian neighborhood of Campanar resulted in a dozen fatalities and countless animals that were trapped in the fire. Among the many stories that emerged from the tragedy, the owners' active search for a macaw that, according to them, could have fled the flames stands out.

The Vinalesa Local Police managed to rescue the colorful macaw, which was later transferred to a university hospital to receive specialized care. The Animal Coordinator of the Valencian Community has echoed the state of the bird, sharing that the macaw has burns on its legs and shows obvious signs of stress.

This information has been widely disseminated on social media, where users have been urged to share any information that could help reunite the macaw with its owners.

Ángela Molina, president of the Animal Coordination, has pointed out that the bird wears a ring, a crucial detail that suggests that the macaw has owners who, so far, have not been located. "His legal guardians have not been located," said Molina, who insisted on the importance of finding the macaw's family to guarantee not only his physical recovery, but also his emotional well-being.

The citizens of Valencia have come together to honor the memory of the pets lost in the devastating fire. In this way, an improvised tribute has been paid at the Callejeros monument, an important work of public art dedicated to the memory of abandoned domestic animals.

This emotional monument, created by sculptor Elena Negueroles, is located in the Plaza de Los Hermanos Pinazo and has become a place of mourning and reflection for residents after the recent tragedy.

A wreath of flowers has been placed at the base of the monument, which has a ribbon with an inscription: "In memory of all the pets who died in the Campanar fire." Accompanying this floral offering is a card with a tender message: "For all the animals who died in the fire. Millions of kisses to the 'Rainbow'. Always in our hearts. R.I.P."
