The trick with aluminum foil to remove ice from the walls of the freezer

Cleaning the freezer is a task that a large part of the population leaves in the background when it comes to tidying up the home. Normally, ice accumulates on the walls of this appliance, and removing it becomes a challenge.

In order to recover the storage space lost due to ice, today we show you a very effective trick to remove it in a couple of minutes with a material that you probably have at home: aluminum foil.

Aluminum foil can be used for a multitude of things around the home, such as preserving food or cleaning surfaces. However, few know that such paper is a great tool to defrost your freezer in a matter of minutes.

The key to this trick lies in aluminum foil's ability to conduct heat and reflect light. First, the freezer must be unplugged. After this step, you must place the sheets of aluminum foil on the ice-covered walls of the freezer, making sure they stick well.

Once glued, you must turn on a light (lamp or flashlight) that you can direct towards the aluminum foil. This way, the paper will act as a mirror and reflect light onto the ice, melting it quickly. Likewise, the heat from the lamp will be transmitted to the paper and ice, making the process almost instantaneous.

If you don't have a lamp, you can simply use aluminum foil, which after about 20 minutes will begin to remove the ice. Once you carry out this trick, remove the paper and dry the water that has formed, taking special care not to burn yourself on the paper when removing it.
