There are dogs that are distinguished by their great sense of smell and an excellent tracking instinct. These furry dogs are bred to hunt hares, rabbits and deer. And they are not always large dogs. An example is the beagle, a small breed of hound native to England, distinguished by its brown, white and black color, as well as its large ears.
This breed is presumed to have certain abilities of tracking and smell, infallible to hunt their prey no matter how difficult the circumstances may be.
For this reason, social networks have not overlooked the attitude of a beagle who did not realize that he had a deer a few meters away. And the middle of the field, so he had little difficulty in undertaking the hunt.
In a video published on TikTok, this dog is seen somewhat distracted, looking attentively into the distance, although it is not apparent that anything is happening. A few meters away, just behind the furry one, is a deer, trying to go unnoticed to stay alive.
And it seems that he succeeds, because the dog does not move in the slightest. He also doesn't seem to smell it, something that has caught the attention of other social media users. "Bred for generations to be the perfect tracker," the account's author jokes.
Other social media users have also been surprised by the reaction. "Just like my dog," one says ironically. "Call an ambulance, but not for me," adds another follower.
