Christmas is not the same without nougat on the table. We can opt for the classics (hard, white, yolk or chocolate) or innovate with the countless proposals offered by supermarkets, which strive to obtain the most original nougat on the market.
Mercadona does not want to be left behind and has launched two new nougats: with Caocream cookies and another with cheesecake, which is very reminiscent of the proposal made by the popular chef Dabiz Muñoz for El Corte Inglés. The price of the tablet: 1.90 euros.
The Madrid chef's nougat, which had a much higher price than the previous one (16.50 euros), is made with a cheesecake praline base, inspired by the Pedroche recipe, with a fine biscuit base and Sichuan pepper .
In the case of Mercadona, in the description they point out that it is a cheesecake nougat with cookies made up of a white chocolate coating, a layer of red fruit jam and a cheese filling with pieces of cookies. "The classic dessert made nougat," concludes the Valencian chain.
Before the cheesecake and cookie nougat, the supermarket chain had already promoted other striking proposals. For example, fried peanut nougat with honey, made with creamy milk chocolate that contrasts with the suggestive salty touch of fried peanuts with honey.
For those who like risky flavors, you can also try pistachio nougat, which combines milk chocolate with this nut filling. Other options for those who love Christmas sweets, Catalan cream nougat or yogurt with blueberries and strawberry.
