Truco's story has been making people talk for several weeks. At the beginning of November we learned the fabulous news that the small animal had finally found a new home after having been abandoned on the streets of Ourense during 2022. Truco arrived at a pound badly injured and in a terrible physical condition. Fortunately, the Apadam association wanted to take care of him.
Months later, the protector revealed through her social networks that Truco had finally found an owner, an Irishman living in the municipality of Muros, in A Coruña. But the story took a 180 degree turn when the shelter confirmed in mid-November that the dog had disappeared.
After three weeks of uncertainty and utmost concern, Apadam confirmed this past Sunday that Truco had been located safe and sound. ''This morning Christmas came early to the APADAN family with the best of gifts,'' he began by saying. ''Truco is somewhat traumatized but extraordinarily well given the circumstances. He is already at the shelter with us and he will stay here for a while. We do not lose hope of finding him a home, but it will have to be later, when he is fully recovered,' they wrote on his Facebook profile.
The help of neighbors and different associations has been key to being able to find the animal alive, after being lost for three weeks. And Truco decided to seek refuge in a neighbor's shed, who authorized the shelter to install a trap cage with the aim of getting the animal into it in order to help it.
''Our hearts can't fit in our chests with joy! At times our feeling of helplessness became so great that it almost made us lose hope, but luckily we have not lost it and everything has ended well,'' the Apadam workers confessed.
The video has not gone unnoticed on social networks and many have wanted to celebrate this incredible news. ''I was moved to hear the good news. I'm glad from the bottom of my heart. Thanks to all the people who made it possible'', ''How great you are. Thank you very much for what you do. Truco is home again, great job!'', ''Excellent news. What a relief,'' were some of the comments.
