The search for Joxe Pagola, a 67-year-old hunter who disappeared a few days ago in Cuenca, ended in the worst possible way. After six days of uncertainty and nerves and having made many unsuccessful searches through the territory in search of the man, a fellow hunter found his lifeless body last Saturday morning in the Cuenca municipality of La Cierva. .

The missing man got lost after going hunting with a companion in the area of ​​the 'El Ensanche' preserve. When he stopped seeing him and verified that he had not returned to his home, he alerted the relevant authorities, who immediately began looking for him. However, the search efforts were suspended (Thursday and Friday) due to various inclement weather.

The operation deployed (and which was insufficient to find the missing person) was made up of members of Seprona, the Citizen Security Unit of the Civil Guard Command, the cynological service (dogs) and a helicopter. In addition, countless Civil Protection and Red Cross volunteers participated in the hunts... Finally, it was another fellow fan who found the man's body when he was preparing to hunt in the area.

Said companion was very surprised to see that the man's dog had remained with its deceased master for six days and six nights. The faithful and impeccable behavior of the dog has attracted a lot of attention from hundreds of citizens of our country, since the authorities do not know what it was feeding on during that week nor how it was able to protect itself from the heavy rains and extreme cold that had occurred. those days.
