Almost any worker is asked to border on perfection, even more so those who work in front of the public such as waiters. There are bosses who don't miss a single one. One failure and the business can be harmed, both at a reputational and economic level. And they think that this is unacceptable by the company, to such an extent that they resort to threats.
According to several WhatsApp screenshots published by the X account @soycamarero, a hotelier is threatening his workers with deducting the electricity bill from their salary, because one of them was left on at closing. "They send me these captures of a work group where the boss threatens on several occasions to deduct from the payroll his failures at work," he announces on his profile.
"Good morning. The light in the warehouse has been left on all night, who do I have to bill?" this hotelier writes in the group where all the workers are.
This person in charge is impatient: "I'm waiting for you to tell me who left the light on yesterday. Either the person in charge comes out or I'll touch everyone without problems." He doesn't stop there. The owner accuses them of inattention. "We are going to start listening a bit. If they get sick, I deduct it from their salary and without a problem," he adds.
The post has been very popular among users. "How scary this guy is, let's see if he left it on himself. He won't be the first to make a mistake and blame the staff," says one. "If it is so expensive, for 20 euros you put a timer and it turns off by itself. What a desire to demonstrate authority and give cane to the fool," another reproaches him.
