PJ Harvey, Queens Of The Stone Age, James Blake and Status Quo are some of the 17 new names confirmed this Tuesday by the organization of Botanical Nights 2024, which will be held once again during the months of June and July at the Botanical Garden from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Simple Minds, Loreena McKennitt, James Blunt and Toto are other artists who will be in the eighth edition of this musical series in the capital, which last October already revealed that it would incorporate the British "boy band" Take That.

For now, the Botanical Nights calendar will open on June 7 with the also British PJ Harvey, who had not performed in Madrid since her performance at the now defunct Summercase festival in 2007 and who arrives at this event with a recent album titled 'I Inside the Old Year Dying' (2023).

Another band from that country that had not performed in the city for a long time is the veteran Status Quo, specifically since 2009. Their concert will be on June 15, two days after the one featuring Mikel Izal, who has just taken the solo leap after experience collective success with the band to which he lent his name.

The forceful rock of the Americans Queens Of The Stone Age, who in recent times had always been seen in large format festivals such as Mad Cool, will return this time in a closer format on June 20.

The Celtic folk touch of the Canadian Loreena McKennitt, who already appeared at Noches del Botánico in 2019, will return on July 9, while the day on July 13 will be shared by two Latin American figures, the Mexican Julieta Venegas and the Argentine Kevin Johansen .

Take That will make their own on July 17, the Americans Vulfpeck on the 21st, the British James Blunt on the 22nd, the 24th will be for the Scottish Simple Minds - who have become a regular visitor in recent years - and the Swedish band Passenger will appear the 25th.

The confirmed list closes for the moment on July 27 with other music veterans, the Americans Toto. It is not easy to enjoy the authors of hits like 'Hold The Line' or 'Africa' in Madrid, since they have not performed here since 2006.

Tickets for these concerts will go on sale this coming Thursday, December 14, starting at 12 noon and can be purchased through the Noches del Botánico website and its official distributors.

The last edition, in which more than 150,000 attendees gathered, represented a turning point and notable growth for the event.
