Fast food chains have decided that giant burgers, fries and sodas are no longer enough. Now, the focus is on something that, although small in size, is giant in flavor: sauces. From the classic ketchup to newer ones such as the cheddar sauce that some products have.
And like any good success, there are imitators. Supermarkets, discerning like few others, have not been slow to notice the sauce trend and have launched their own versions of these delicacies. For example, Burger King's famous cheddar sauce, which has found its replica on the shelves of Mercadona.
This new product is the protagonist of a video uploaded by the TikTok account savemostodos, showing how these sauces have transcended the borders of fast food establishments to reach the pantries of any consumer who wants to buy them.
In this way, Burger King's cheddar sauce, known for its characteristic flavor, has found a competitor in the Valencian supermarket chain, where a similar version is offered for 2.35 euros. Although it is not an exact replica of the original flavor, consumers have expressed their satisfaction with this alternative, highlighting its similarity to the original sauce: "This is tremendous!"
However, not everything is cheddar in this story. Some users have expressed concern about the nutritional content of these products. Cheddar sauce, for example, in its 250 gram containers, provides 214 calories per 100 grams, with 17 grams of total fat, of which 11 grams are saturated fat.
On the other hand, the cheese content in the sauce has sparked some ironic comments among users, with 36% cheese in its composition, of which only 11% is cheddar. Therefore, there is a lot of cheese in a sauce that should only have cheddar.
