The controversy surrounding the potato omelet recipe has resurfaced once again, this time with chef Dabiz Muñoz as the protagonist. A video that is rapidly circulating on social media shows the famous chef expressing his opinion on the controversial ingredient: onion.
In the aforementioned video, shared on the social network These words have generated endless reactions among Internet users, who have hotly debated the authenticity of the recipe.
However, what has drawn even more attention is not the chef's statement, but the scene that accompanies his statements: Muñoz appears eating a Betanzos tortilla in which a raw egg can clearly be seen. This detail has sparked sarcastic comments and criticism from users, who question the quality and authenticity of the dish.
In this context, the question arises as to whether the Spanish omelette should contain onion or not, an issue that has divided public opinion and has even confronted renowned chefs. While Dabiz Muñoz defends a version without onion, others such as Karlos Arguiñano, Pedro Subijana or Juan Mari Arzak advocate including it in the recipe.
