Carrefour recalls several batches of nuts and chocolate for presenting undeclared gluten

Carrefour has recalled several batches of Capó brand nuts and chocolate, after the presence of gluten not declared on the labeling was detected, as reported this Friday by the Federation of Consumer and User Associations of Andalusia (Facua).

Specifically, lots 230929, 231004, 231005 and 231024 with barcode 8413365008314 are affected. The French supermarket chain maintains that the presence of gluten does not affect the rest of the products or lots.

As a precautionary measure, the company recommends those people intolerant to gluten who may have these nuts and chocolate in their homes to refrain from consuming it, and can go to their nearest store to return and pay for the product.

Carrefour also reminds that the consumption of these products does not entail any risk for other consumers.

The company reminds that customers can return the product at the service point in supermarkets and that they can also call the Carrefour Customer Service telephone number (914908900).
