Will Smith strikes the note again in his son Jaden's birthday greeting: "What's up?"

Since his incident at the Oscars with Chris Rock, Will Smith has not been particularly lavish on social networks. Beyond the controversy of the moment and the apology that he ended up issuing, the American actor has continued with his life and his projects, trying to put the controversy aside. They seem like quiet days for someone who was once a star on the small and big screen thanks to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I Am Legend or I, Robot. However, the interpreter has returned to stick his head out.

On July 8, his son, the rapper and actor Jaden Smith, celebrated his 25th birthday in style. And Will congratulated him with a message that stood out for a comment, a quip from father to son that did not go unnoticed on social networks.

The father posted a photo with the young man on his Instagram account, attaching an affectionate message: “Happy birthday, J-Diggy. He's crazy you're already 25! When I was 25 I already had a 2-year-old boy… What's wrong? What are you doing out there?"

The Philadelphia actor referred to his relationship with businesswoman Sheree Zampino. In 1992, when Smith was 24 years old, his first child, Trey, was born. It was a first marriage that didn't last long, with the couple separating three years later, in 1995. It was in '97 that Will married Jada Pinkett, his current wife. From that relationship that has endured more than a quarter of a century, two children were born: the aforementioned Jaden and also Willow, 22 years old.

The mother was also quick to congratulate her son, posting a couple of photos of the two of them on Instagram: one from when Jaden was a baby and another of the youngster posing with his mother on a catwalk.

"Happy 25th birthday my sweet, sweet Jaden!" Wrote the parent along with the shared photos. Other acquaintances and celebrities congratulated the rapper on his birthday, but none of them was as direct as Will when it came to asking for grandchildren.

Despite not having made his parents grandparents, Jaden Smith has forged an important career in the world of music and acting. Both careers started thanks to the same project, The Karate Kid, in which he starred and voiced the film's main theme, "Never Say Never", alongside Canadian Justin Bieber. However, not everything was smooth for the teen actor of the time, especially after the After Earth movie fiasco.

Released in 2013, it was a science fiction adventure in which Jaden had a prominent role alongside his parents. Despite exceeding the film's budget at the box office, critics turned it upside down, including the interpretation of the young man with accusations of nepotism.

According to Will Smith, the boy who was then 15 years old wanted to emancipate himself after what happened. "In the end he decided not to, but it hurts a lot to feel that you have hurt your children," explained the actor in his memoirs.
