Coachella is one of the best-known and most anticipated festivals in the world. So much so, that this Sunday, April 14, its 23rd edition began. And, as is tradition, the Californian desert was filled with visitors to enjoy the music and important performances.
And if there is something that attendees expect, it is not only to see the performances already announced, but also the surprises that await them with the guest artists, who are usually top-notch. For this reason, the audience broke into screams and applause when they saw Will Smith appear on one of the stages.
It was during the J Balvin concert when everyone present was speechless. A huge alien head occupied the center of the stage when, suddenly, not only the singer, but the actor appeared. Smith appeared in the legendary suit and dark glasses of his character in the film Man in Black, which became a hit when it was released in 1997.
It is not surprising that in a few minutes the networks were filled with images and videos of the moment. And, far from remaining a mere greeting, the Oscar winner started singing the well-known song from the film's soundtrack.
With a perfectly studied choreography, the singer and the actor, who can also boast of being a rapper, sang the song together. With them, the dancers dressed as aliens and the enormous head took those present directly to the movies.
After the show ended, that same group of dancers could be seen taking J Balvin away from the venue, leaving Will Smith completely alone in the middle of the stage. At that same moment, he grabbed the mythical device to erase minds that appears in the film and did the same through a play of lights that made the audience burst into applause.
But they are not the only surprises that were at Coachella last Sunday. Shakira was not one of the artists announced that day, however, she accepted Bizarrap's invitation and took the stage to sing the song Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol 53. "I have something to share... Biza, I'm going on tour finally! I'll start here, in November in this city, I can't wait!", revealed the singer.
And this was also joined by the appearance of Billie Eilish during the concert offered by Lana del Rey. The Oscar winner for the soundtrack of the movie Barbie did not hesitate to sing Video Games and Ocean Eyes alongside the American singer. Now, we will have to wait until next weekend to see what other surprises await viewers.
