Alejandro Sanz has taken advantage of one of his last concerts to pay tribute to one of his best friends, JR Ridinger, a well-known American businessman who died last year due to a pulmonary embolism. At his concert in New York, the singer dedicated one of his songs to him and also sent a loving message to his wife Loren Ridinger, who was in the audience.
"I know that I have a brother up there who asks me to dedicate it to him," said the artist shortly before singing the song Looking for Paradise. In his dedication, the Andalusian assured that he "has not left them" and that he was one of the people who "taught him the value of friendship."
Loren did not hesitate to thank him for the gesture, via social networks. "A beautiful night with my best friend in New York. I love you very much. He sang from upstairs with us," he wrote on his Instagram profile.
The businesswoman also recognized that it was a special song for them: "We love you, Alejandro Sanz. This dedication was so special and so emotional for me and JR. I have nothing but love and respect for you. My brother, my family . I've missed you".
It is not the first time that Sanz dedicates a song to the businessman. A few days after his death in August 2022, he remembered him with another topic and wrote that "celebrating life will always be worth it": "There are many of us who will always miss you JR."
Sanz maintained a close relationship with the Ridinger couple, very popular in the US for their retail and beauty businesses. In Loren's case, she is one of the most powerful businesswomen in the country. Together with her husband, she founded Market America Worldwide, a trading company that offers a wide variety of items, whether related to personal care, cosmetic products or jewelry.
Loren also maintains a close friendship with the singer Jennifer Lopez, the actress Eva Longoria, the influencer Kim Kardashian, as well as the singer Alicia Keys.
