Victoria Beckham has had a small setback in the gym that has resulted in a major injury. As David Beckham, her husband, has explained, the designer has suffered a clean fracture in her foot. For this reason, she is forced to wear an orthopedic boot, as her former player has shown on her Instagram account.
The incident first came to light on Valentine's Day, when Victoria herself shared a photo of her injured foot, covered with an ice pack, joking about her fall at the gym: "Happy Valentine's Day to my!". However, it just looked like a sprain after a fall.
The former soccer player, without knowing the severity of the injury, was quick to respond, sharing the image of his wife with a joking comment about the size of his finger, which he confessed that he had never realized in its immense size: "How How big is your finger? Wow, I had never noticed before."
This is not Victoria's first injury mishap, as in 2018 she suffered a stress fracture in the same foot, which required the use of crutches and a medical boot. A year later, she fell while skiing, resulting in a cut on her forehead.
This history of injuries, as she told the Australian edition of Vogue in 2022, highlights the intensity with which she approaches her activities. So, according to the designer, she is "pretty extreme" in everything she does, whether it's her diet, exercise or drinking habits.
Despite the setback, David and Victoria did not stop expressing their love for each other on Valentine's Day, sharing romantic messages and photos. David posted an image of the two kissing at sunset by the sea, accompanied by a tender message to Victoria, referring to her as an incredible wife, mother and best friend.
The concern about this injury, beyond a good recovery, revolves around how this unforeseen event will affect Victoria's presence at Paris Fashion Week, a crucial event for any designer.
