Total tension in 'Fiesta' due to recordings "without permission" to a collaborator: "If you want to fire me, you fire me"

Fiesta, the weekend program dedicated to the gossip press and social chronicle presented by Emma García, has become one of the most stable spaces on the Mediaset España schedule. With the arrival of the new leadership to the communication group, the leaders decided to eliminate some programs such as Sálvame in search of giving a "more familiar" image. However, it has been shown that their attempts to make TV "softer" do not always work out.

Last Sunday, December 17, the Fiesta set became the scene of a pitched battle. It all started because the program was preparing a singing contest to celebrate Christmas. Although this competition had a comical tone, one of the collaborators flatly refused to participate.

"Can you tell me what is happening between the collaborators and those recordings of the rehearsals for Christmas?" asked Emma García when she found out that there were problems with the initiative. At that moment, Saúl Ortiz (deputy director of the space ), went live: "There is a lot of jealousy and a lot of envy (...) There are many people, but the other day we experienced a fairly tense situation in the newsroom. "There was a person who wanted to disappear from the contest and not participate."

After this intervention, Fiesta broadcast a piece where José Ángel Leiras could be seen talking about the program's decisions: "I'm not going to compete. I have things to do here to appear in this contest. Either my voice will be retouched or I won't." I'm on my way out".

The collaborator felt very bad and appeared on the Telecinco set to defend himself against the accusations of being a 'cheat' for not wanting to sing: 'I just found out that I was being recorded in the newsroom without my knowledge (... .) I have not done anything''.

Emma García, who took the issue with much more humor than the rest of her colleagues, responded to the worker by telling him that not only had they recorded him 'treacherously', but that they had broadcast it in front of millions of viewers.

"The other day I got really angry. I went to my house where the demons were taking me and I refused to sing. I said 'if you want to say goodbye to me, say goodbye'. But I don't sing. (...) It was said that we were recording the songs and, since not all of us have a voice, they said to use autotune and fix the voices. That was agreed upon, but I found the song recorded without modifications. It was treason," said the visibly distressed journalist.
