Todd Philips shares unpublished images of Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix in 'Joker 2'

On the occasion of Valentine's Day, director Todd Phillips has surprised DC fans by sharing exclusive images of his next film, Joker 2, through his official Instagram account. In the post Phillips shared three photos showing Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix in their iconic roles as Harley Quinn and Joker.

The first image captures both actors in a completely black environment, and under spotlight, while the second shows them face to face through the bars of a black and white prison cell. The third shows them dancing on a roof, dressed to the nines and also in black and white.

Phillips, who has directed films such as Road Trip, Old School or The Hangover, which won the Golden Globe for Best Comedy or Musical Film, accompanied the images with a message full of love: "I hope your day is full of love." . A phrase that remembered the holiday of February 14. Additionally, she reminded fans that Joker 2's release date is scheduled for October 4, 2024.

This isn't Phillips' first gesture to excite fans ahead of the release of the long-awaited sequel. At Christmas, the director shared other images of the main characters, keeping anticipation rising as the release date approaches.

Joker 2 promises to be a unique cinematic experience, especially now that it has been revealed that the film will not be part of James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Universe, but will instead exist within the DC Elseworlds canon. Although there are still few details about the plot, rumors have been heard that the production could include musical elements.

It will once again star Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker and introduce Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. In addition, the cast will include Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, and new talents such as Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey join.
