This is the 300 million yacht that Mark Zuckerberg gave himself for his 40th birthday

That Mark Zuckerberg is one of the richest and most powerful men in the world is nothing new. The businessman will turn 40 on May 14 and at his age he can already boast of having everything within his reach. So much so, that he has decided to gift himself a new yacht, or superyacht, which joins his other properties.

The founder of Facebook, who now has the Meta brand, has acquired a 118-meter-long boat that has a market value of 300 million dollars. Such is its size, that it ranks number 45 on the long list of the largest yachts in the world.

This ship, called 'Launchpad', was seen in Port Everglades located in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) and captured all the attention of those present. And it is not surprising given that it has a capacity for 25 guests and requires a crew of 48 people, as Page Six has reported.

This luxurious ship was designed by Espen Øino International and the interior was carried out by a French company. A boat that is not going to be cheap in the coming years, since its annual maintenance price ranges from 30 million dollars.

Although it is not known what use Mark Zuckerberg is going to give to his new acquisition, if one thing is clear, it is that he can take a big break with his family without problems. The yacht has several outdoor areas to enjoy the sea breeze and the large windows allow you to have a peripheral view of the place.

At the same time, it also has a space reserved for the heliport, where you can park your helicopter to leave the boat at any time. Something that his other superyacht also has, the Wingman, 67 meters long, which is used as support for this first vessel.

This second ship has a much smaller crew capacity, remaining at 20 people, and its market value is unknown. However, it also has space for several jet skis and even a small submarine. As Forbes has reported, both vessels were leaving Gibraltar a few days ago and have headed to the United States so that the businessman can use them.

But it is not far from controversy. According to the aforementioned media, both ships were in the name of a Russian oligarch related to the war that is being experienced in Ukraine. Even so, the money from these yachts has not ended up in the Russian's pockets, but rather in a warehouse in the Netherlands waiting for the sanctions imposed by the European Union to be lifted.
