The unexpected proposal of a bachelor from 'First Dates' to his date in the final decision: ''If you want, I'll give you this ring''

More and more people are embarking on the complicated adventure of trying to find love within the four walls of First Dates. On Tuesday night, a new batch of diners showed up to the most romantic space on television with the aim of spending an unparalleled evening and, if possible, going out in the best of company.

However, not everyone who comes to Carlos Sobera's program feels butterflies in their stomach when they see their date. Something that happened to Ángela, a 61-year-old single Mexican woman who had been without a partner for more than seven years after the death of her husband. ''I haven't wanted to rebuild my life because my subconscious told me that the way she was was fine,'' she said. She wanted to find a young and active looking man.

His date was Joaquín, a 66-year-old single from Madrid, fond of reading and eager to find a woman with whom to share his daily life. As soon as he entered the restaurant, the bachelor had such a crush on Angela that he couldn't hide his nerves. ''I was left hanging like a little child when he falls in love for the first time,'' he declared. Angela, for her part, had not had as good an impression as the bachelor.

After exchanging their first words, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about their love life. Joaquín said that he had been divorced for quite some years and Ángela explained that she ended up comparing all the men she knew to her husband. ''That's why I haven't looked for love,'' she clarified. However, they both agreed that at their ages it was good to have someone in their life.

The date progressed and Joaquín was increasingly delighted with the single woman. But the Mexican was only willing to have a beautiful friendship with him. ''It seems that she hasn't realized it or I haven't explained myself well, but we could only have a friendship,'' she asserted.

In the final stretch of the evening, the singles moved to the program's booth, where Ángela was going to face an uncomfortable moment with Joaquín. And the bachelor, who was totally dazzled by her date, was trying to give Angela a kiss with such bad luck that the single woman made him the cobra. In the final decision, Ángela, who already knew the answer she was going to give to the bachelor, was disappointed again when Joaquín got her name wrong.

Shortly after, the single woman was clear and confessed that she had not felt chemistry with the bachelor. However, Joaquín did not give up and got down on his knees to beg for a new chance. ''Angels please,'' he said. ''Not if you keep calling me Angels,'' she said. ''I'm a good catch, if you want I'll give you this ring now,'' he declared. ''My goodness, I will never receive a proposal of this type,'' she said. ''Could she have hope?'' he insisted. ''I don't believe, I don't have the disposition,'' she concluded.
