Early last Monday, January 8, the 81st edition of the Golden Globes was held at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California. After a lot of nerves, expectation and theories about it, the film Oppenheimer and the series Succession were the big winners of the night with 5 and 4 awards respectively.
Another of the big winners of the evening was the series The Bear. The American show won three statuettes: the award for best comedy or musical television series and the awards for best actor and best actress in that category (Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri).
Although it was a great night for the aforementioned artists, there was a rather uncomfortable moment that did not go unnoticed on social networks. In an interview with the cast of the culinary series, a journalist took a giant photo of the sexy pose that Allen White launched a few days ago with the Calvin Klein brand. ''What went through your mind when you saw this?'' he asked in a comical tone.
Faced with the silence of those present, Edebiri went forward and removed the cardboard to put it aside in a corner. When the reporter asked her why she had covered the actor's photo with her underwear, the artist appeared safe and confident: "I'm taking it off for my colleague! He's my brother! We're family!"
Although the actress maintained the comic tone at all times and did not make a fool of herself or create tension with the interviewer, Jeremy Allen White tried to pronounce a phrase ("We are not here to..."), which gave way to a reflection from the Golden Globe winner in which she expressed that it didn't seem right to talk about that topic at that moment: "This is an awards ceremony!"
As was seen at the awards gala (and on multiple occasions), the cast of The Bear is practically a family. It must be taken into account that many of the actors and actresses have risen to international fame thanks to this audiovisual project.
Although Edebiri and White have made it clear many times that they maintain a beautiful friendship and that they consider themselves 'brothers', the actress was forced to clarify in some interviews that there is no type of romantic connection between them. In addition, Rosalía's supposed new boyfriend had to deal with questions all night focused on the underwear advertising campaign, something that made his fans very angry, since the actor had just won his first 'important' award.
