The situation around Daniel Sancho continues to give new information in droppers. This past weekend it was known that the son of actor Rodolfo Sancho had been arrested in Thailand after confessing to the murder of Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta. The chef was provisionally transferred to a prison this past Monday, while he continued to provide information about what happened and his relationship with the victim.
The Bangkok Post newspaper has gradually published Sancho's statements to the Thai police. Among other details yet to be confirmed, the chef confessed various intricacies of the connection he had with the surgeon, who would have threatened to reveal their meetings and cause a great scandal for him and his family. Let's remember that the cook dismembered the Colombian before turning himself in to the police and confessing the facts.
As reported by the Thai media, the chef and doctor would have maintained ties that ended in the least pleasant way possible. Sancho tried to put an end to it on several occasions, but he found a wall in front of him. In addition, Arrieta allegedly blackmailed the Spaniard, threatening to make his secret relationship public and publish a big scandal, which would affect both him personally and his family.
According to information published by Semana magazine, the relationship between Sancho and Arrieta would have started a year ago, after they met on social networks. Both shared private photographs of different kinds before meeting in person, where the first of several meetings would have taken place. The chef explained to the police officers that he would also have received 10,000 euros and a credit card to open a restaurant in Spain.
The cook also reiterated that he did not have any kind of sentimental relationship with the victim. “He was obsessed with me. He deceived me, he made me believe that what he wanted was to do business with me, put money into the company of which I am a partner. That we do things together, that we go to Mexico, Chile, Colombia, to open a restaurant. But it was all a lie. The only thing he wanted was me, to be his boyfriend, ”he confessed to the authorities.
It was after that initial period and other confessions by the cook that the threats occurred, which severely affected Sancho. It is for this reason that he decided to kill Arrieta, this being a premeditated crime. According to the Spanish magazine, Daniel summoned Edwin to the island of Koh Phangan to enjoy the traditional full moon party of the place. Once there, he reserved two hotel rooms, in one of which he kept what would be the weapons of the crime.
