Carla Galeote (23), influencer and activist, was the protagonist of a great controversy on social networks. Galeote published a video on the TikTok platform to denounce the behavior of her 70-year-old neighbor. In her recording you can see how the man is masturbating while he focuses his gaze on her from the building in front of her.
The video quickly went viral on the internet. Some users warned him that he was committing a crime by recording and disseminating intimate images of a person without their consent.
"It was touching. What's wrong with the gentlemen of this country? There is enough, you leave the women," Galeote defended himself. Shortly after, the feminist decided to delete the video.
However, it was too late to delete the audiovisual piece because it began to circulate massively. According to experts, if the neighbor reported her, the activist would face the alleged commission of the crime of serious insults and the right to the honor and image of the filmed person.
"He has captured an image without consent, in a very intimate act and in a private setting," said lawyer Emilia Zaballos for the newspaper El Confidencial. The lawyer concluded her intervention by explaining that, if convicted, the sentence could range between three and five years in prison.
