This has been a very turbulent year for Bertín Osborne. Against all odds, and as a surprise, not very pleasant for him, the singer will become a father again at the age of 69. A baby that may become the first born in 2024, since Gabriela Guillén is scheduled to be due on December 31. Without a doubt, news that would surprise everyone.
But while this day does not arrive, what does arrive, and very often, is controversy. And it seems that the artist is a magnet for them or a machine to generate them. The last was her decision not to attend in person to the most special and anticipated event of the Foundation managed by her ex-wife Fabiola Martínez.
The Venezuelan had the pleasure of hosting the first edition of the Dona2 awards, created to "foster the human qualities that connect us with ourselves and with those around us." However, despite being called the Kike Osborne Foundation (previously called the Bertín Osborne Foundation), the artist left his wife completely alone for almost two decades, and only sent a video for the occasion.
"He is recording in Seville, I couldn't manage to balance the agendas. He had the invitation, not only that, I told him that he had to be there in some way because otherwise they were going to think that we had taken him out," she assured herself. Likewise, they wanted to make it clear that the name change is not the result of any controversy, but rather as a tribute to her son, and has been agreed upon by both parents.
And despite Bertín's controversial absence at the event, what did come out on the same day was an interview he gave to the podcast El Capote, from the fashion brand where he met Gabriela Guillén and with whom he collaborates. Among other things, they did not hesitate to ask him about his future plans regarding love. "I don't want to find anyone. I feel great the way I am, without anyone. But come on, I can't tell you how," he said.
Even so, he did not want to overlook his role as a father. "All our children, all parents when we have children, change our lives. Fathers and mothers. Whatever the child may be. But if on top of that he is a vulnerable child, who has tremendous shortcomings... It's not that it changes your life "It puts your priorities in their place," he said, talking about his son Kike.
"I feel admiration for mothers of children with brain injuries. For me they are my idols. Starting with Fabiola," he added, sending a message of support to his ex-wife. However, in these words not even a trace of a small mention of her future son could be seen, much less his mother, Gabriela Guillén.
For this reason, it is not surprising that the businesswoman never tires of sending hints through social networks.
