The 'La casa de papel' team has a new project on Netflix and it is atomic

On television there are more or less universal truths. One of them is that, if the screenwriters Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, the director Jesús Colmenar and the director of photography Migue Amoedo come together, a good television product will emerge from there. They are the ones who helped change the perception of Spanish fiction with Vis a vis and La casa de papel. Quality entertainment is guaranteed. And what do you intend to create now on Netflix? If we read its synopsis, we might think that it is an apocalyptic drama or a dystopian satire.

The project, which is titled The Atomic Shelter and filming is now beginning, proposes a planet Earth where World War III is already upon us. Luckily, billionaires have the opportunity to see the end of the world as a unique and fun experience from a luxury bunker from the Kimera Underground Park company. There are huge screens to watch, as if it were the latest blockbuster movie, the decline of humanity as if it were a spectacle.

Thus, while on the surface all God dies, they have a basketball court, restaurant, Zen garden, cocktail bar, psychologist's couch, gym and spa. Privilege is reduced to adapting to that hole of luxury, in an underground universe full of enigmas in which the pending accounts of two families crossed by a wound from the past will explode.

The inhabitants of this shelter will be played by Miren Ibarguren (Everyone Lies), Joaquín Furriel (The Kingdom), Natalia Verbeke (Ana Tramel. The Game), Carlos Santos (The Man of a Thousand Faces), Pau Simon, Alicia Falcó (The good company), Agustina Bisio, and Álex Villazán (Alma) or the historic Catalan television actress Montse Guallar (El cor de la ciutat), who could recently be seen in Nacho.

The team of Pina and Martínez Lobato in The Atomic Shelter features David Barrocal, David Oliva, Lorena G. Maldonado and Humberto Ortega, while Colmenar will direct the episodes with David Barrocal and Jose Manuel Cravioto. Regarding Migue Amoedo, he will be responsible for the visual design of the series.
