The judge keeps Antonio Tejado in provisional prison without bail after his request for freedom

Antonio Tejado has been in provisional prison for two months after being accused of being the "intellectual author" of the robbery at his aunt María del Monte's house. Although the first hearing of what is known as 'operation Abgena' took place several weeks ago, it has now become known that the judge has decided to maintain this prison without bail for the former television collaborator.

With this, the request for freedom that the defense of the accused requested shortly after this first day has been rejected. "The Investigative Judge number 16 of Seville has just issued the order and notified the different parties," the program Let's See revealed.

"Antonio Tejado's lawyer had requested that freedom just after his statement on March 15, the Prosecutor's Office objected and so did the private prosecution, María del Monte's lawyer," the reporter added. And it is exactly for this reason that her nephew will not be able to see the street, at least for the moment.

The singer's lawyer argued that the evidence against the accused "was not mere conjecture" and that it was the result of a "thorough and precise investigation" by the judicial police of the Civil Guard. Something that was known last Thursday and revealed by El Diario de Sevilla.

And, although the singer has made this decision, she would like Antonio Tejado not to be truly involved in the end. "There is little news that my clients, especially his aunt, will celebrate with more satisfaction than knowing that he himself is unrelated to this criminal plot," stated María del Monte's defense.

This decision by the judge to keep the reality contestant in prison has also been made with the rest of those involved in the plot. Therefore, they will have to wait until the day of the trial for everything to be resolved.

Given this, the current affairs table of the Telecinco program has asked the reason for this decision. And it would all be due to the "sufficient evidence" that has been collected. "One of the crimes is a criminal organization," added one of the journalists, making it clear that Antonio Tejado is not being investigated individually, but as co-author. And this is what could "raise the sentence" considerably, if the judge finally decides.

"The judge does not believe Antonio Tejado's version," added another. María del Monte's nephew denied any type of involvement and maintained his innocence from the first moment. Now, he remains to see how the case will evolve and what the next steps will be for the accused and his aunt.
