Only a few hours have passed since the lifeless body of Álvaro Prieto was found between two carriages of one of the Renfe trains. A hard blow for family and friends, who still held out hope of being able to reunite with him. The 18-year-old disappeared near the Santa Justa train station in Seville after a night of partying.
The Córdoba youth soccer player decided to travel to the Andalusian capital to have a good time with his best friend, the last person close to him who saw him alive. And now this is the one who wanted to send him some emotional farewell words.

We miss you a lot, I know that you miss us too, like when you wrote to me and called me to ask me how I was doing in Seville and tell me how much you wanted to see me," his best friend has started to tell. The young man's friend wanted to write this letter 24 hours after his body was found. Even so, he wanted to make it clear that he cannot explain in words everything it means to him. "Perhaps I have had a very hard part in this situation (being the last person who was with you)," he expressed. But if one thing is clear to him, it is that he would "never" change having been the last to be able to say goodbye: "I feel very lucky to have been able to receive that last 'I love you bro' there sitting on the sidewalk of the road before entering the nightclub." .
He also wanted to make it clear to her what her disappearance and death have meant to many people, and the movement that has been created around her. "People love you a lot and that's for a reason," she said.
"Down here I will be in charge of taking care of your people as much as possible, your friends, who are many, and your family, I promise you," the footballer's best friend continued, making it clear that he will never forget it. "I am writing this with tears in my eyes, but I will try not to let out too many more these days because I know you don't like to see us suffer," he added.
