The 'El Intermedio' reporter is insulted and grabbed at the Ferraz demonstration and Wyoming asks the police for help live

This Monday, protests continued in front of the PSOE headquarters against the amnesty law and the investiture of Pedro Sánchez. Cities throughout Spain experienced these demonstrations, although one of the largest occurred again on Ferraz Street, the socialists' headquarters in Madrid.

The protesters' tempers flared again on this third day of protest, to the point that the police had to intervene and launch tear gas to dissuade them. The El Intermedio cameras went there, but their reporter ended up scolded, insulted and grabbed and Wyoming had to ask for help live.

According to data provided by the Madrid Government Delegation, some 3,800 people gathered this Monday afternoon, for the third consecutive day, at the doors of the PSOE headquarters on Ferraz Street. The police made three arrests for disobedience and attacks against authority, in addition to launching tear gas to break up the mob.

The cameras of El Intermedio, the Wyoming program on La Sexta, were there to report what happened. However, they were not very well received by some protesters. This is demonstrated by the images broadcast live while the reporter, Javier Bastida, was trying to do his job.

“We are seeing how it has become a real street runner, with people confronting the police and right now, these clashes are taking place on this avenue…” the journalist was trying to relate. However, some Protestants kept interrupting him and shouting “manipulative press, manipulators, manipulators!”

During these altercations Bastida was rebuked, insulted and grabbed by a protester, so he could not continue with the story. “We are seeing our partner's difficulties in being able to make this connection. We are experiencing moments of great tension, Javier, be very calm and take good care of yourself,” Sandra Sabatés asked him.

“Manipulators, dead from ETA, Arnaldo Otegui murderer…” shouted a stranger into the microphone of the reporter who was trying to continuously shout slogans. Faced with this situation, Wyoming asked for direct help: “The street taken over by constitutional democrats... the police could already give us a hand, since the kid is playing the game right now.”
