The difficulties of the pregnancy of Ana Sandra Lequio, Ana Obregón's granddaughter: "I was terribly upset"

The presenter and actress of the mythical Spanish television series Ana y los 7 has revolutionized today. A week ago we learned the news that Ana Obregón had traveled to Miami, United States, to pick up what would be her biological granddaughter. A wish that her own son Aless Lequio had and that her mother wanted to make come true three years after her death.

The revelation has become the news of the day and all the media have echoed the last wish of the son of Alessandro Lequio and Ana Obregón. This is how the presenter told it in an exclusive interview with the magazine Hello!, in which she explained that her son let him know in the hospital, when he was already in poor health.

A process that for Ana Obregón has meant the desire to live again. ''But you know what it's like to feel this after having suffered so much! I'm back. I have risen. I have been reborn. I died on May 13, 2020 and I was born again on March 20, 2023, just like that,'' she confessed. ''No one is going to make me bitter about the happiness of having brought my Aless's daughter into the world. Nobody is going to achieve that, because whoever tries it is cruel and he has no heart, period,'' declared the actress.

But as in all the processes, nothing has been that easy and the presenter also told in the interview how the process of the surrogate mother becoming pregnant was like and how many attempts had to be made to achieve the pregnancy.

The presenter said that the process has not been easy. Only Alessandro Lequio and his sisters, Celia and Amalia, knew about it. The procedure lasted no more and no less than three years, in which doctors, lawyers and agencies intervened so that everything was correct and legal. And although the girl was born three weeks earlier than expected and in perfect health, everything was not rosy.

''It has been very difficult. The pregnancy did not occur on the first attempt, far from it,'' the actress said. A process that was attempted numerous times. "It's been several times and every time I didn't go out I was terribly upset and started over," she explained. Even so, it has been a path that she feels very proud of. ''It's been a battle, a long road, but it's what has kept me alive. It's just that if it weren't for this, I wouldn't be here anymore,'' she said.

''I have never thought of abandoning this idea, no. I have not given up. I have fought across the ocean, tooth and nail, to have a little bit of my son, Aless, here and to one day be able to tell my daughter, with all the pride and shout it to the whole world, that she is the daughter of a hero. '' He said.

Surrogacy has been a secret that Ana Obregón has kept for all this time and only when everything has gone well has she wanted to tell it. ''I've wanted to keep it a secret because I've had very bad luck, because you see, now, people giving opinions without even knowing what they're talking about. It scared me so much… I wanted her to come into the world, that the nine months of pregnancy would be great,'' she explained.
