The contrasting coexistence between Kiko Jiménez and Laura Matamoros in 'Survivors': discussions and tensions in Playa Limbo

The beaches of Cayos Cochinos in Honduras left their paradisiacal tranquility aside last week, after a series of helicopter jumps that promised strong emotions for the coming weeks. This is how a new edition of Supervivientes began on Telecinco, presented once again by Jorge Javier Vázquez and Laura Madrueño and featuring an outstanding cast of participants, although some of them are not officially recognized.

One of the highlights of this season is the return of Kiko Jiménez and Laura Matamoros, former contestants from the 2017 edition, who participate in the hidden Playa Limbo under very limited conditions. “The initial provision will be minimal... They will only have 40 grams of rice per person per day and two cans per week that they will have to share,” explained Laura Madrueño of the place where they will live, isolated from others and where the driven out.

During this first week, the two former television collaborators have had to deal with what is fair, generating some tension between them. The public on set and in their homes witnessed a strong discussion that took place this past Monday, after trying to manage the temperature and their latest acquisitions. While Jiménez seemed calm, Matamoros jumped on him and criticized him for some absences.

This incident occurred after a secret raid on Olimpo Beach, where a series of vitally important items were stolen without its members ever knowing. Rice, mats, a knife and other absences caused confusion and concern among Carmen Borrego, Ángel Cristo, Pedro García Aguado and company. The situation led to a small argument between Mario González and Arkano, accusing him of being the thief while the rapper laughed.

However, coexistence in Playa Limbo did not seem so complicated the next morning. The spectators present on the set, as well as the corresponding managers and collaborators, have been able to verify that the tension between the two had dissipated. Kiko and Laura showed a relatively affectionate attitude that drew several applauses and whistles from those present in Fuencarral, although they were not aware of it.

Minutes later, Jorge Javier Vázquez himself had the opportunity to speak live with both, celebrating being able to speak with them after his last experience seven years ago. Both acknowledged that they had a good time and had fun, despite recognizing that their survival was very difficult. The reality show host compared his experience to the movie Lago Azul, in addition to showing the reactions to his robbery.
