The autopsy reveals that Arrieta died with his throat cut by Daniel Sancho, according to the Thai Police

The murder of Edwin Arrieta has shocked the world. Every day, new information about the crime that Daniel Sancho allegedly committed on the Thai island, and for which he is in prison awaiting trial, shakes up the case and leaves new clues to discover what really happened.

This morning, Surachate Hakparn, the number two of the Thai Police, has assured the EFE news agency that the results of the autopsy indicate that Edwin Arrieta died after being slit by the young Spanish Daniel Sancho.

"We already have the definitive results of the autopsy. First they fought, according to the evidence at the scene (of the crime). Daniel punched him, then the doctor (Arrieta) fell and hit his head against the sink, but he did not He died at that moment, but when (Sancho) began to cut his throat, according to forensics," the deputy director of the Thai Police explained to the communication agency.

Currently, Sancho is a prisoner in a prison in southern Thailand called Koh Samui, which he entered on August 7 after confessing that he had murdered Edwin Arrieta. ''I'm guilty, but I was Edwin's hostage. It was a glass cage, but it was a cage. He made me destroy the relationship with my girlfriend, he forced me to do things that he would never have done,'' explained the alleged perpetrator of the crime.

A few days ago, the same deputy director of the Thai Police announced to the media that they were closing the investigation and announced that, according to the laws of the country, Sancho should be tried with the death penalty, since it is about a premeditated murder.

"At first they tried to divert attention by indicating that there were two people, that it had been due to the relationship they had (Arrieta and Sancho), that this had not been premeditated, but rather an accident that had arisen at the time, but today everyone the elements solidly point to one direction, and that is that there was a whole premeditation," the authorities explained to the press.

Despite the fact that the police in charge of investigating the case concluded that we are dealing with a premeditated murder, it is the prosecutor who has to establish the request for a sentence that Sancho will face in court.

After several weeks in the Asian prison, the defendant received a visit from his mother, Silvia Bronchalo, who came to the prison visibly broken and very nervous a few days ago. Although she arrived at the prison on the first day and left quickly, on her second visit she drew strength and spoke to the journalists present there.

''For me it has been very difficult. Daniel is much better, he is calm, they are treating him very well, and well, just hope that everything is resolved very calmly,'' he explained to the media. It should be noted that the family of the alleged perpetrator of the crime issued a harsh statement in which they offered their condolences to the victim's relatives and asked for respect for both families in "this terrible situation that they have had to live."
